How long does Fairy Hair last?
It depends on your hair + how you care for it, but it’s meant to hang out with your hair for a while (and it usually sheds out naturally as your hair sheds). If you want the most accurate expectation for your hair, we’ll talk it through when you book.
Does it damage my hair?
Nope — we attach it with a gentle, hair-safe method (no glue). The key is just being a little mindful when brushing.
Can I wash my hair like normal?
Yes! Wash like you usually do. Just be gentle around the area where the tinsel is tied in (no aggressive scrubbing right at the root).
Can I curl or flat iron it?
Usually yes — but heat rules can vary depending on the type of tinsel used. When you come in, we’ll tell you exactly what’s safe and what to avoid so it stays shiny and doesn’t get wonky.
Can I brush my hair?
Yes — just do it gently. A soft brush + holding the hair near the root while brushing helps a lot (especially the first couple days).
Can I swim with it?
You can, but chlorine/salt + tangles can shorten how long it looks perfect. If you’re swimming a lot, tell us — we’ll place it in a way that makes it easier to manage and share the best after-care tips
Is Fairy Hair good for kids?
Totally. It’s one of our favorite “fun but not permanent” services. (Best results are usually on kids who can sit for a bit and let us work — quick and easy, but they do need to stay still.)
How many strands should I get?
Depends on the look:
- A few strands: subtle sparkle
- A small bundle: noticeable but still soft
- More all over: full glitter moment
